Electric and Water Conservation for the Summer

It is easy to take for granted turning on the faucet and clean water coming out, and the Air Conditioning keeping your home cool.

Until there is a problem...

Or your bill arrives with an amount that ambushes you.

Some money saving tips for the sizzling summer that is about to arrive.

When in the bathroom and there is natural light, leave the lights off.

When brushing your teeth, do not leave the water running while the toothbrush is in your mouth cleaning your teeth.

While cleaning your beloved pet water bowl, if there is excess water, use it to water your plants.

Left over water in a... day old forgotten water bottle left in car...feed the plants.

When not at home turn the AC up two to three degrees to reduce time AC runs when you are not at home.

If you have a gas grill outside, grill food more, cutting the heat created in the kitchen and the use of utilities.

Set your timers for the outside and inside lights later when the days are longer.

Unplug the countertop microwave when not using it.

When using the oven, multi-task the baking, so you maximize the energy usage.

These tips will help reduce your utility bills and help you come up with your own energy saving ideas.
